Please follow the steps below to download and install the OnCall Health desktop application. The desktop app will allow you to complete online video appointments from your Windows desktop or laptop computer.







Option 1: Download the desktop app in advance of your next online video appointment. (Recommended.)


Option 2: Download the desktop app at the time of your next online appointment. 




1. To download the desktop app in advance of your next online video appointment, please log into your account and click "test my webcam and microphone" in the bottom left corner of the screen. Follow the steps onscreen and click to download the app when prompted.



2. A dialogue box will appear, and click away from it to dismiss.




3. The desktop app will begin to download, this may take a minute or two. Click the download in the bottom left corner to open.






4. Follow the steps on screen to install the desktop app.





Please note: after installing the app, you will have the opportunity to "launch a test call" and ensure everything is working as it should be. Just follow the steps onscreen!





5. At the time of your next online video appointment, log into your OnCall Health account and click Join Call.






6. If the OnCall desktop app does not open automatically, you may be prompted to allow it. It is recommend to "remember your choice" for future appointments.







7. Complete your online video appointment as scheduled. During the appointment, you will be able to share file attachments and text messages through your web browser. 








8. When finished, be sure to hang up and/or quit the OnCall desktop app. The app must be closed between appointments, and will relaunch the next time you click Join Call.







Option 2: Download the desktop app at the time of your next online appointment. 



1. Log into your OnCall Health account from your preferred web browser and create your online video appointment.

2. At the time of your scheduled appointment, click Join Call.







3. A dialogue box will appear, and click away from it to dismiss.







4. If you have not downloaded the OnCall desktop application in the past, or if you are unsure, click "click here to download the OnCall Health video client."






5. The desktop application will begin to download, this may take a minute or two. Click the download in the bottom left corner to open



6. Follow the steps on screen to install the desktop app.





7. The OnCall desktop application has now been downloaded. Return to your preferred web browser to click "click here to join your call."






Please note: do not open the desktop app from your Programs. If you have opened the desktop app, please close it to ensure it launches properly when you return to your web browser to click Join Call.



8. It is recommended to select "Remember my choice" before clicking to open the OnCall desktop application.






9. You have now joined your online video appointment. If you are the first participant to join, do not close the window, simply wait for additional participants.


You will have the ability to share file attachments or text messages from your web browser.










10. When finished, be sure to hang up and/or quit the OnCall desktop app. The app must be closed between appointments, and will relaunch the next time you click Join Call.
